Spaghetti With a Twist

Today I start my journey through seven days of cooking different recipes. My first recipe will be spaghetti. Although it seems like one of the quick easy meals for me I do mine a bit differently. I've grown up watching my mom and sister making spaghetti and even though I like it I prefer to put a twist and do it my own way. So I start out by thawing out my ground beef wok (which is my favorite pot to make many of my dishes in) I place it on the stove and turn my heat on high. I throw my ground beef in the pot and use a fork to begin mashing the meat. As I'm mashing my meat I begin pouring my spices on the meat and mixing it all in I do this until the meat begins to brown. I dash over to my noodles scoop a noodle out give it a taste and turn off the fire. Just two days ago I bought something called a pot strainer which covers half the pot to strain the water without losing the contents inside the pot. I give it a shot and it worked so magically I pour all the water off and place the pot back on the stove to finish up my meat. My meat is looking good I give it a taste to make sure it has the right amount of seasoning and boy oh boy was it delicious. I grab my pot holders so I can pour off the oil. I don't have anything big enough to strain the oil off so as usual I just use the pot cover and tilt the pot slightly. Once I got as much oil as I can off I place the pot back on the stove place the fire on low and get to work to add the finishing touches. I pour in my onions first, pour my favorite three cheeses spaghetti sauce in, stir that a little bit I add some water to the spaghetti sauce bottle and pour that into the pot. I get another bottle of spaghetti sauce and only add half of the bottle in I love my spaghetti really saucy. This is where my twist comes in I add some Parmesan cheese, and three tbs of sugar. I mix this very well give it a quick taste and cover the pot I allow this to simmer on low heat for five minutes. Once the five minutes is up I turn off my fire wash my hands grab a plate and add my noodles then my sauce on top. For my first recipe, I have made spaghetti with my own little twist.
