Jasmine Rice, Honey Teriyaki Salmon, and Asparagus

Today I've decided to try something new I've never made
salmon but it is something I have always wanted to try. I guess I was scared because I didn't want to mess it up. I started but dabbing both sides of the fish dry with a paper towel. Once it was completely dry I proceeded to season it up while being gentle. I used garlic powder, fish and meat seasoning, onion powder, seasoning salt, and black pepper. I let the fish sit aside for about thirty minuted while I prepared the teriyaki sauce. This is my first time so I'm making this sauce how I think it should be. I got my wok added two cups of low sodium soy sauce, one cup of honey, a spoon of minced garlic and began stirring while it was on low heat. Once it began to simmer I gave it a taste and it was simply delicious. I let it cool for ten minutes because I just didn't want to add the hot mixture to the fish I turned my oven to 325. After ten minutes I poured the sauce to the fish and slide it into the oven. I placed two cups of rice into a pot of boiling water, with a spoon of butter and a sprinkle of salt. My fish was coming out in the next 8 minutes because I didn't want to overcook them. I opened my can of asparagus and added them to the pot turned the fire on low added garlic powder and black pepper and I couldn't forget my butter. After the timer went off I took the fish out the sauce began sticking to the pan so I know I took it out just in time. I waited for the rice which had quite sometime to go. I took a taste of the fish and it was way better than I expected. Once the rice was done I added everything to the plate and there you have it.
